How Atmovio handles your data
Effective 3 October 2026 · Project operator: Vladimír Večeřa, jsem@vladimir-vecera.cz
Atmovio runs in your home
Atmovio is open-source software you install on your own Raspberry Pi. Recordings, camera snapshots, AI evaluations, settings and access keys stay on your device. Neither the author nor atmovio.com can access them, and no data is collected from Atmovio installations. Atmovio contains no tracking or telemetry.
Third-party services (only when you enable them)
- AI sky watching – snapshots from the cameras you select are sent to the AI provider you choose (e.g. Google Gemini) using your own key, under that provider's terms.
- YouTube – when you link YouTube, you grant Atmovio permission through Google OAuth to upload videos to your channel and read your playlists. The access token is stored only in the settings on your Raspberry Pi; you can revoke the permission at any time in Atmovio ("Odpojit") or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Only the video you choose (or enable automatic upload for), its title and description are sent to YouTube. Atmovio's use of Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Openverse – music searches are sent to api.openverse.org; the optional registration sends your e-mail address there.
- E-mail and webhook – alerts go only to the addresses and servers you configure.
- Updates – Atmovio asks GitHub for a new version (a plain HTTP request without identification).
